Deepening exchanges and exploring frontiers: Expert team from Sichuan University’s School of Materials visits Hualu Group for technical exchange – Simultaneously, a multi-party negotiation meeting on the comprehensive utilization of coal gangue resources is held, with scientific demonstration leading the rational layout of the industry

      [Luzhou, January 19, 2026] A group of experts from the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Sichuan University visited Hualu Group, engaging in in-depth discussions on new materials and resource conversion technology for a day. Representatives from the Management Committee of the Economic and Technological Development Zone of Naxi District, Luzhou City, and relevant enterprises also participated in this activity.

      In the morning, Hualu Group held a special technical exchange meeting with the expert team from the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Sichuan University. The two sides had a constructive discussion on the cutting-edge technology, research and development dynamics, and potential cooperation directions of vanadium-based new energy key materials and core components such as vanadium electrolyte and separator.

      During the communication, Hualu Group detailedly introduced the company's industrial layout and technical focus points in relevant fields, while the Sichuan University expert shared the progress of the college in basic research and applied development of materials science. Both sides agreed that there are broad common interests in the field of new energy materials, and this exchange laid a solid foundation for possible industry-academia-research interactions in the future.

      In the afternoon, the scope of communication was further expanded. The scientific research team of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Sichuan University, the Management Committee of the Naxi Economic and Technological Development Zone of Luzhou City, Hefei Taier Intelligent Technology Group Co., Ltd., and representatives of Hualu Group jointly participated in the "Technology Exchange Seminar on the Resource Utilization of Coal Gangue". All parties had a wide and open discussion on the high-value utilization path of coal gangue from the perspectives of policy guidance, technical routes, market applications, and cross-regional collaboration, and the atmosphere of on-site communication was warm.

      Subsequently, Hualu Group, in combination with its own business exploration direction, specially invited the Sichuan University scientific research team to conduct a preliminary scientific analysis and evaluation of the feasibility of the specific technical route of "coal-stone vanadium extraction". The Sichuan University expert team, based on the current technical level and economic benefit model, gave a prudent technical assessment opinion, and clearly concluded that the technical route at this stage is not mature and the economic feasibility is insufficient. 

      Hualu Group would like to express its heartfelt gratitude for the professional and objective analysis provided by the expert team. The relevant person in charge of the Group pointed out that scientific and rigorous assessment is an important prerequisite for enterprises to carry out technological innovation and industry exploration. Although no consensus was reached on specific paths in this exchange, it fully reflected Hualu Group's pragmatic style of examining projects with a scientific attitude and avoiding risks with the help of academic wisdom.
